Basement restoration
Put the basement back to a room you can use.
This is the finish work downstairs: drywall, flooring, insulation, and the trim that closes the room. It is the job after water damage, or when those finishes have failed and the space is no longer usable.
A never-finished basement that you want turned into a new suite is a different project. If that is the ask, we will say whether it fits what we do.

Restoration • Finish
Finish work that puts a room back together.
The space
What the basement scope usually includes.
We name the rooms and the finishes. Drywall, floor, and insulation are the work. The quote should read like a room, not a pile of tasks.
Drywall and paint-ready walls
Board that is damaged or was cut out after water goes back up. The walls are left ready for paint in the scope we agreed.
Flooring
The floor that came out, or the floor that failed, is replaced with what the quote names. We do not swap the material on install day.
Insulation
Where insulation was removed because it was wet, or where the wall is open and it belongs there, it goes back in before the board.
Trim so it looks finished
Baseboard and casing are part of leaving the room usable, not an extra you discover later.
The limit
Finish work, not a new foundation.
We stay on the inside of the basement. Structure, waterproofing, and mould certification are other trades.
Walk the rooms
Before a number
We look at what is there and what has to come out. A wet wall and a scuffed wall are not the same quote.
Write the finishes
Rooms, floor, walls
You see the scope before work starts. If opening a wall shows more damage, we stop and revise it with you.
Close the room
Walls, floor, trim
The job is done when the basement can be used again, not when the material is stacked in the driveway.
Questions
Before you book the walk-through.
- Is this a basement renovation?
- It is restoration of the finishes: drywall, flooring, insulation, and trim. A full redesign, a bathroom addition, or a new layout is a different kind of project.
- The basement flooded. Is this the right page?
- Start with the flood. The rebuild of those finishes is this work, after we know how far the water went. See flooded basement restoration
- Do you waterproof the outside?
- No. We restore interior finishes. Excavation, drain tile, and foundation repairs are not this scope.
- Can the main floor be part of it?
- If water damaged rooms upstairs as well, that belongs on the water damage scope. We can look at both. See water damage restoration
Ready for a look downstairs?
Tell us which rooms, and whether this follows a flood or finishes that have failed. We will walk it and send a scope.
